How to Care for Your Holiday Plants
Bonnie's Garden

Christmas Tree Care
Because we buy so many Christmas trees, our growers cut our trees just prior to loading them on trucks for delivery to us.  This helps insure that we always have the freshest trees possible for our customers.  Some trees hold their needles longer than others, but it is more a matter of care and preservation measures after you get the tree home as to how long most trees can hold their needles.

Using Fresh Greenery for Holiday Decorations
Doug's Blog
Now that we are in December many people have decorating their living spaces on their agenda for the upcoming holiday season. Finding the right materials to decorate for the holidays can be as easy as taking a stroll through your gardens. Personally, I find it so rewarding to use some of my own landscape plants as a source of greenery. Cutting your own greenery as needed is about as fresh as it gets. Boxwoods, hollies, nandinas, pines, yews, and ivy all make great cuttings to use in arrangements.

How to Care For Your Poinsettia
Poinsettias are the number one potted plant sold in the United States. This is amazing, given the fact that they sell mainly during the Christmas holiday season.  For the holidays, place your poinsettia in bright, indirect light. Allow the soil to dry moderately between waterings so that the roots don't stand in water. If your poinsettia came wrapped in colorful foil, punch holes through the bottom of the foil to allow the pot to drain.
